A celebration of growing up, Talking to Brick Walls playfully exposes just how divided parents and teenagers have become. Portrayed with breathtaking authenticity, each scene is a story within itself, woven together to create a tapestry of lived experience, humour and connection.

DEVELOPMENT

This production of Talking to Brick Walls was originally produced by Vena Cava Productions in 2020 before being transferred to Interstage (then named The Black Box Collective) for a revamped professional season.

This season of Talking to Brick Walls was presented in Ipswich as part of Anywhere Festival 2021 and ran 13 and 14 May at Studio 188 resulting in paid work for 15 Emerging Creatives.

Interstage assisted with raising investment and sponsorship, budget management, contracting, marketing, production management, and creative producing (dramaturgy and casting)
